Gladys Ortiz, CEO and Founder of The GO Affect, is a proud Latina and mother of three beautiful children located in Connecticut. I take pride in helping women and men thrive in their everyday lives. Over the past 20-plus years, I have been fortunate to be a leader in the financial industry and hold numerous certifications in Leadership, Coaching, and Business Development.
Building solid connections while continuing to grow existing relationships is of utmost importance to me, as this requires time and a great deal of trust. I am deeply passionate about assisting individuals in overcoming the mental obstacles that prevent them from taking action towards the life they should be living.
My involvement in community engagement includes serving as the past treasurer and President-elect for the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, as well as an Ambassador for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, I am a board member of Friends of the Wood Memorial Library and Museum

It’s normal to feel sad, angry, exhausted, frustrated, and confused and these feelings can be intense. You may also feel anxious about the future. Accept that reactions like these will lessen over time. Even if the relationship was unhealthy, venturing into the unknown is frightening.
Give yourself permission to feel and to function at a less than optimal level for a period of time. You may not be able to be quite as productive on the job or care for others in exactly the way you are accustomed to for a little while. No one is Superman or Supergirl; take time to heal, regroup, and re-energize.
Sharing your feelings with a coach can help you get through this period. Isolating yourself can raise yourself can raise your stress levels, reduce your concentration, and get in the way of your work, other relationships, and overall health. Do not be afraid to get outside help if you need it.

It’s almost impossible to do on your own. It takes a fresh pair of eyes to uncover what you’ve spent a lifetime trying to forget. Not just memories, but the thought patterns, messages and beliefs that are driving your choices today.
